Jabil Circuit, Inc.

"In manufacturing I have a chance to work with people as a part of a team, so I can gain different perspectives. Together we can CREATE amazing things. Being a part of manufacturing I can learn every day; I can improve myself continuously."

Reka started her career in manufacturing at General Electric 19 years ago, and has since served in many roles across different functional departments including HR, Logistics, Planning, Sales, Inventory Control, and Purchasing. She is Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Silver certified. Since joining the Tiszaujvaros, Hungary team in 2010, she has been instrumental in ensuring that the plant is as Lean, efficient, and cost effective as possible, ultimately driving production and increasing the capacity of the warehouse by 30 percent.

Reka serves as a great role model for all women aspiring to leadership positions. She shows that with planning and commitment, having a dual-career family, raising two children, and achieving a work-life balance is possible. As a Jabil leader, she championed the Jabil Joules women's leadership program at her site in Hungary, including establishing a five-woman team that she actively mentors. Today, these women are not only advancing in their own careers, but also lead an amazing program organizing events that range from arranging speakers, to hosting children’s activities, to offering English training and summer camps. Reka is behind it all with her “can do” attitude and is a great role model and mentor for all women in manufacturing.

She is also active in her community with a variety of efforts, particularly in promoting breast cancer awareness, a cause she is especially passionate about.  She is a strong advocate for early detection and screening, not only organizing events at her facility, but also promoting similar efforts throughout other European plants.
