Kristen Actis-Grande
Vice President, Finance - Residential HVAC & Supply
Ingersoll Rand

"Manufacturing provides the opportunity to collaborate with different functional teams that are all dedicated to the same goal. As a finance professional, the tangibility of manufacturing is rewarding. The financial statements come to life when you can walk into the plant and see the operation represented in the numbers."

Kristen has progressed through the ranks at Ingersoll Rand to become one of its youngest female Vice Presidents, recently promoted to oversee the financial operations of Trane’s Residential HVAC & Supply business. Her success is largely based on her philosophy that a finance professional must deliver insights that drive performance, a concept she’s tested over time, which has led to changes in everything from product design and availability to marketing strategy that affected almost every facet of the business. She has been instrumental in transforming the Trane Residential business, serving as the business lead in conjunction with an enterprise strategy team, to evaluate and rewrite the strategy of the Residential business. Today, this strategic direction is delivering record company performance and paving the way for continued growth.

Kristen is passionate about supporting talented younger women and providing them with executive perspective as they build their careers. She mentors three women, providing guidance on career development and coaching them on how to be more influential. For the past four years, she has also participated on panels and mock interviews for various student groups to build excitement around corporate finance career opportunities for women at Indiana University, where she earned her MBA.

Kristen has also demonstrated her commitment to the community by participating in a range of efforts from serving on her church board, to becoming a founding member of PRIDE, Ingersoll Rand’s LGBTA Employee Resource Group, to participating on the steering committee for the Indianapolis Chapter of the Women’s Network Group.  Through each effort, she enjoys sharing not only her expertise in finance, but her personal experiences in the hopes of positively affecting others.
