Jenni Hanna has been making a difference at Whirlpool Corporation for over 23 years. From her beginning as an hourly employee to her role as Director of Plant Operations today, Jenni has consistently demonstrated a passion for excellence and desire to drive improvement. During her career, she has held leadership positions in engineering, human resources and operations at multiple Whirlpool plants.
Jenni has used her technical and leadership skills in an array of challenging situations, including facilitating the turnaround of a plant that resulted in a dramatic performance increase including a reduction in injuries and lab failures, and marked improvement in effectiveness. She was integral in supporting and coaching the team, and guiding them through this difficult transition. Her open communication style led to exceptional results, both on this project and across her career.
Jenni has been a mentor to many and is respected for her experience and skills in coaching and professional development. She participates in the Whirlpool Women's network, which exists to empower and engage the women of Whirlpool. Jenni is seen as a role model among Whirlpool women and known for living the company's values of respect, teamwork, integrity, diversity and cultivating a spirit of winning.
Jenni is also committed to community service. She has worked with the Blanchard Valley Community Health System and Habitat for Humanity. This year, Jenni spearheaded an initiative to open the plant to high-school students from the surrounding area as part of the “National Manufacturing Day” event. Over the course of a month, students, teachers, school administrators, counselors and the media were invited to visit the plant, participate in a range of activities, and learn more about Whirlpool and manufacturing in an effort to educate and inspire.
