Becky Tuchscherer
Group President, Commercial Welding
Miller Electric Manufacturing
Appleton, WI

"I chose a career in manufacturing right out of college and have stayed with it ever since. I made that choice because I felt that was the best way to make a difference. I still feel that way today.”

Becky is the first woman to serve as group president since the company became publically owned in 1993. In this capacity, she works with her team of businesses to drive growth strategies in the North American Commercial Welding platform. Becky shares the talents and skills she’s developed while working strategically in all areas of the company to lead a team effort where making people feel valued and appreciated.
In addition to this extremely critical leadership role, Becky also serves as a Trustee for the American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation, is a member of the AWS Careers in Welding Committee, and was instrumental in the organizational efforts to establish the Women of Gases and Welding network at the Gases and Welding Distributors Association. Becky is truly a champion for women and leads efforts to mentor, train and promote women in the workforce. She is passionate about recruiting more women into manufacturing, and mentoring and training those women already in the industry.
Becky is a quiet, collaborative leader who leads by example. She is a great listener, an excellent networker, and  she knows how to build a resource infrastructure that moves the organization towards accomplishing its goals. Becky does not seek to be in the spotlight, rather she inspires others to perform at their  best. She is very effective at melding the thinking and ideas of others and through consensus- building, achieving positive outcomes and maximum impact.
