"Manufacturing is a very rewarding career choice. The manufacturing industry is diverse and dynamic, creating exciting work environments. There is a wide variety of job and career opportunities to pursue, allowing you to continually build your skills and challenge yourself."

Jacki has been instrumental in establishing a reliability improvement “platform” for BASF at its Port Arthur, Texas site. She has worked with internal and external consultants to develop specific activities that would be effective. Jacki implemented new reliability improvement tools, and she developed craft-specific training for rotating equipment maintenance technicians. Her contributions resulted in Jacki being invited to present at a Global Petrochemical Operations Directors meeting held in Germany.

Early on, Jacki gained a high level of credibility with her colleagues due to her high energy and willingness to participate. In addition, Jacki was able to apply her engineering background to solve issues and concerns, making her a go-to resource from the start.

Jacki demonstrates maturity well beyond her few years of experience. She exhibits a high level of in-depth knowledge in her field, listens to others, learns from them, and actively conducts individual research in order to increase her understanding of different concepts and principles. Jacki also excels at communicating and collaborating across functions and geographies. Jacki is effective at establishing rapport and relationships across all levels of her organization. She exemplifies the skills and competencies one would expect of a seasoned veteran in the industry, though she has less than five years work experience.
