"Make yourself an asset to your organization. Invest in your personal and professional education, nurture your networks, build high trust relationships, stay open to new ideas, and always take the opportunity to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and learn something new about yourself, your organization or your industry.”

Caitlin has a leadership role in deploying the company wide lean strategy identified as the Cascade Enterprise System (CES). She began leading annual Transformational Value Stream Analysis events for Cascade’s multiple business units in 2013. In 2014, she took ownership of the preparation and execution of the process for all businesses at corporate headquarters. She has served as the Sensei responsible for leading teams in breakthrough thinking, closing the gaps between their current and future desired state. Through these events, the businesses have identified and achieved significant opportunities for growth and disruptive market strategies. Operationally, Caitlin bridges the TVSA with the manufacturing facilities’ annual Value Stream Analysis events to ensure strategic alignment at every level of the organization.

She is a non-traditional candidate for a successful career in manufacturing. Her educational background emphasizes social sciences and her professional life started in the non-profit sector with a private grant-making foundation that funded services and programs for women and girls’ economic self-sufficiency and civic and political leadership.

Caitlin joined Cascade Engineering as an executive assistant and project coordinator. She approached her job with fresh eyes and used critical thinking and systems analysis skills from her previous work and education to grow into a leadership role in brand management and sought out opportunities to sit on corporate committees on diversity and inclusion, and the development of emerging leaders.  Her passion and drive to grow people as well as the company made her a perfect fit for the CES team.

Caitlin believes the empowerment and development of individuals is essential to strengthening the organization. She regularly works with team members of diverse backgrounds and varying talent levels, from newly hired employees to seasoned executive leadership, and facilitates them through the collaborative use of lean systems tools and analysis to discover their own solutions and realize their potential for success.
