Jo Ann Brumit
Garland, TX

"Manufacturing produces tangible 'things' which create jobs - providing a living for families while protecting and providing security for our country. Manufacturing enables a country to be an independent world leader, to control their destiny and security."

Jo Ann has provided visionary leadership backed by financial acumen and bold spirit to contribute to the success of KARLEE for over 30 years. In addition to leading the organization through an economic downturn, Jo Ann’s focus on quality resulted in the company becoming the first ever woman-owned organization to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.  Jo Ann began her career in the male-dominated energy business.  From that experience she gained insight and leadership experience that became a springboard for her career in the similarly male-dominated field of manufacturing.  Her approachable, calm demeanor coupled with her financial savvy allows her to succeed where others don’t.
Jo Ann has earned a reputation for being extremely knowledgeable and approaching problems with a steel resolve to find a solution.   Her exceptional demeanor allows her to cultivate strong relationships and promote respect among all team members and colleagues.  She is committed to finding the best solution for a problem regardless of what personally suits her.
Her passion for quality and performance excellence extend not only to the business operations but also to the community at large where she has served in executive leadership positions on a range of boards including Texas Workforce Commission, Baylor Medical Center @ Garland, Garland Chamber of Commerce and the Quest Forum.
