Amanda Riebel
Continuous Improvement Engineer
HOERBIGER Corporation of America

Pompano Beach, FL

“I enjoy being a part of the manufacturing environment because there is a new challenge that is brought to light every day. These challenges allow us to learn and grow; ultimately making us better for tomorrow.”

Amanda’s contributions made a huge impact very quickly at HOERBIGER in her new position as Continuous Improvement Engineer.  Within an extremely short timeframe, Amanda was able to apply her technical and data analysis skills to quickly learn about the product and processes, assess the reasons for underperformance, document issues, and ultimately analyze and implement solutions to increase performance and efficiency.  She is well-respected by her colleagues, and routinely takes on new responsibilities and exceeds expectations to meet company goals.

Throughout her academic and work careers, Amanda has embraced change.  Critical to success as an engineer, this willingness to try something new and adapt to challenging circumstance served her well as she pursued her degree far from home and in a different setting, and as she began work as an engineer.  She readily learned new skills and processes, including experience in lean manufacturing, process audits and Kaizen events, while working within and across departments. Through these experiences, Amanda understands all aspects of manufacturing and how every department working together builds a successful organization.   She continues to expand her horizons and is pursuing Six Sigma Black Belt certification in hopes of bringing even more to the table.
