“There is no other career that embodies a holistic approach to Science, Technology, Engineering and Production (STEP) than manufacturing. Manufacturing and supply chain requires continuous interaction with design, research and development, engineering, suppliers and customers. Successful manufacturing people have the ability to develop people from diverse backgrounds to achieve results.”

As Quality Assurance Manager, Rosa is currently responsible for the Quality Management System and overseeing the Quality Performance at the Baker Hughes Technology Center in Houston.

In the past year, Rosa has developed and executed a strategy to improve manufacturing quality performance through implementation of standard operating procedures, root cause analysis and execution of corrective actions. Under her leadership the quality team has significantly contributed to changing the culture at the Houston facility, increasing the focus on customer satisfaction and significantly contributing to the improvement in the overall manufacturing plant performance.

In her career with Baker Hughes, Rosa has been involved in multiple global projects, most recently leading the adoption of a multi-site plant certification program for ISO 9001:2008. In her previous role she was instrumental in leading the global Drill Bit manufacturing organization to achieve world class quality performance with year on year improvements over five years.

Rosa is a Six Sigma Black Belt and expert in lean manufacturing.  She actively mentors and promotes the theory to others, however her passion for implementation and drive for tangible results is what sets her apart as a true leader and inspiration to others.
