Donna P Bailey, SPHR
Director of Human Resources
Roy O. Martin
Alexandria, LA

“The strength or weakness of American manufacturing carries implications for the entire economy, our national security, and the wellbeing of all Americans. Jobs created through manufacturing create upward mobility and broaden and strengthen the middle class to the benefit of the U.S. economy.”

Donna is an exceptional leader, lauded for her effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as her ability to positively influence others. Through an acclaimed executive-development program, Donna navigated a course that dramatically broadened her knowledge of the human-resource discipline, while learning to function in a complex industrial environment. She was integral in developing an organization regularly characterized as “world class,” and she continues to drive the company toward a goal of having a workforce capable of maximizing operational efficiency.

Donna Bailey is, at her roots, a teacher. She brings the passion, conviction, and dedication of an educator to work every day. She’s applied those skills to the benefit of others by overseeing RoyOMartin University, an internal leadership-development program. From curriculum development to class scheduling, she shares her experience to achieve great success.

Donna also developed WoodWorks, vocational training designed for high-school students to prepare them for employment in the wood-products industry following graduation. The program eventually gained accreditation by Louisiana’s Board of Elementary and Secondary Education as a specialized curriculum for high-school students.
